17 _ Glas Bouge - Emil Frederking

Bouge ist ein Dialog von heißem, weichen Glas und  hartem, kantigen Blech. Die Interaktion aus Formbau und Glas wirft Fragen und Antworten auf. Die Natur des Glases wird durch das bewusste einschieben der Bleche eingefangen.

Es ist eine Metapher für das Leben, wie das Glas werden wir immer wieder aus dem Gleichgewicht gebracht, doch auch unsere natürliche Reaktion ist es in weichen, harmonischen Formen zu antworten. 
So erlangen wir das perfekte Gleichgewicht zurück. 
„Bouge“ hält diesen Moment fest und erinnert uns somit.

Gefertigt von den besten Glasbläsern in Europa, in Novi Bor in Tschechien, ist jedes Glas in Handarbeit entstanden. Das flüssige Glas wird von den Glasbläsern modelliert und in speziell angefertigte Formen eingeblasen. Daraufhin wird es entformt, kontrolliert abgekühlt und dann von Glasschleifern geschnitten und auf Hochglanz poliert.
So entstehen die einzigartigen Gläser und Karaffen „Bouge“.


Bouge is a dialogue between hot, soft glass and hard, angular metal. The interaction between mold and glass raises questions and offers answers. The nature of the glass is captured through the deliberate insertion of the metal sheets.

It is a metaphor for life: like glass, we are repeatedly thrown off balance, yet our natural response is to return in soft, harmonious forms.
In doing so, we regain perfect equilibrium.
“Bouge” captures this moment and reminds us of it.

Crafted by some of the finest glassblowers in Europe, in Nový Bor, Czech Republic, each piece is handmade. The molten glass is shaped by the glassblowers and blown into specially designed molds. It is then removed, carefully cooled, cut, and polished to a high gloss by skilled glass cutters.
This is how the unique “Bouge” glasses and carafes come to life.
